How long does a portrait session take?

Portrait sessions vary depending on the number of outfits and the number of poses. We always reserve two and a half hours for seniors. At Bell's, we like our clients to feel comfortable and relaxed - not rushed or hurried. We allow you plenty of time to change clothing and freshen up so that you look your absolute best for the camera. Plus, we do our best to help you look wonderful. Some may call it 'picky,' but we call it 'striving for perfection.'


What clothing do you recommend?

A basic rule for choosing clothing is to try for simplicity. Generally, dark colors photograph best. Bright colors, whites, and bold patterns, such as large stripes or polka dots, tend to draw the eye away from the person in the portrait. A beautifully emroidered dress or shirt should be brought along as one of your clothing changes, but not as your main clothing choice. If you have any questions about a pattern or style, be sure to call us. We'd love to have you in for a consultation.

When can I schedule a session?

Bell's schedules sessions Tuesday - Friday from 9am to 5pm. Bell's is also available by special appointment.


When can I see my pictures?

Your proofs will be available to be picked up in the studio approximately one week following your session.


How will I order my pictures?

The day of your session you will be asked to make an appointment to return and place your order, usually two weeks after your session. Be sure that all of those who are part of the decision making process attend the ordering session.


How long until my order is done?

A portrait order usually takes approximately 4 weeks to deliver. At the time you place your order, you will be given a promise date - the time we guaruntee your pictures to be ready! If you are unable to schedule a time to pick up your finished order, we would be happy to mail your pictures right to your door.


What about money?

A $100 deposit is due when you make your appointment. This will be used toward your final order. On the day of the session, your session fee is due. 50% of the total order amount is paid at the time you place your order. The remaining half is due when you pick up your pictures. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, personal checks, or cash. We can also provide you with a payment plan for your convienience.
